Haunted Gingerbread House

This is a new design for Halloween. It has an eerie glow from within, and is being haunted by three ghosts. This was a lot of fun to do. This is the large version. It stands 14 inches tall. I have a smaller version as well. Happy Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!

For Alexandra

This is the baby quilt that I finished for my niece, Alexandra. She is expected to arrive any day now. I usually take pictures of my quilts by our garden, on our fence. Autumn has arrived and brought with it rain, so I had to take this picture indoors. This quilt has the most quilting of any quilt I have ever made. The stitch lines are every 1/2 inch. I am happy with how it turned out. I am sure Alexandra will love all the bright colors. It will be a happy day when she arrives! I can't wait to meet her ................ :)

For the New Grandbaby

This is the quilt I made for Mitch's grandbaby. She will be arriving very soon! I love the colors of this quilt, and all of the quilting. I enjoy quilting for someone special. With each stitch I think good thoughts for them. A baby who sleeps under a quilt, is covered with love..........

For My Niece

I am so excited for my new niece to arrive! I have so many things I want to make for her. These are baby blocks I made. I used pictures of things that remind me of her mom & dad. The pictures of my brother as a baby are my favorites. I only had one picture of my sister-in-law as a little girl, so I found things from Ukraine, her homeland. This was a fun project.

Happy Fourth of July

This is Independence Hall created out of gingerbread. It is completely edible. The windows are made of sugar glass, and it lights up too! It took me one day to bake the pieces, and one day to assemble and decorate it. It stands 19 inches tall. It was fun to do!

Seasons

Living in the desert for over 25 years was draining to me. I never felt at home there, as if I had been uprooted. I now reside in Idaho, and it has been a renewing force for me. I feel like I am finally home. I have a wonderful, loving man in my life who supports me in all of my endeavors. My four daughters are my pride and joy, and they too, are my inspiration. As I am at a turning point in my life, I have decided to get back to the things that I enjoy, and share them with others. One thing about living in Idaho, is that I get to experience the changing seasons. The holidays that go with them have always been special and wonderful to me. I have been making things to celebrate those times since I was a little girl. I have to say that my favorite season is Autumn. There is something about that time of year that stirs up my soul, almost like Spring does for others. The first day of Summer was a few days ago. Autumn will be here before we know it, with Winter close behind. Time goes by so fast............
